Medium-pressure refrigerated dryers are installed inside biogas purification units. To avoid membrane module contamination by water, they conduct refrigeration dehydration of biogas under medium pressure. At the operating pressure of 1.6 MPa, the operational water dew point of biogas can reach 3–8°C, while the standard atmospheric dew point reaches -20°C.

Compared with high-pressure models, it has lower procurement and operation & maintenance costs, suitable for most industrial medium-pressure applications.
